AI phone agents in Spanish

ThunderPhone supports Spanish for calls, the dashboard interface, and product documentation. A team can build and operate an agent in the Spanish dashboard, give callers a Spanish voice experience, and use a dedicated Spanish edition of the docs.

Spanish is one of ThunderPhone's 47 supported voice languages. It is an included language, so selecting Spanish does not add a language surcharge to the Spark, Bolt, or Storm engine rate.

Spanish voice options

The current catalog includes 12 voices that support Spanish:

  • six multilingual voices;
  • four bilingual voices; and
  • two premium Spanish voices, including Castilian and Mexican accent options.

The two premium voices add 3¢ per minute. The other compatible Spanish voices use the included Spanish language path. The builder filters out voices that do not support the agent's entire selected language set, and lets you preview a sample before deployment.

Accent labels help narrow the catalog, but they do not guarantee a fit for every market or script. Test the names, local terms, addresses, abbreviations, and numbers your callers will actually say.

Spanish in the dashboard and documentation

Spanish is a shipped dashboard locale. Teams can configure agents, review calls, manage integrations, and operate the account in Spanish.

ThunderPhone also publishes dedicated Spanish documentation. The localized docs cover the same product workflows while the generated supported-languages page records current voice availability and pricing.

Bilingual calls without a separate phone tree

Set Spanish as the primary language for a Spanish-first line, then add English or another supported language. If a caller changes to one of the configured additional languages, the agent can switch automatically during the call.

The selected voice must support all chosen languages. For bilingual support, test full calls in both languages as well as realistic switch points—for example, a caller who starts in Spanish but gives an email address, product name, or technical explanation in English.

Sample Spanish call experience

The following flow is written in English to describe the experience.

Agent starts in Spanish: Greets the caller and asks whether they need scheduling, support, or another kind of help.

Caller answers in Spanish: Says they need to move an appointment.

Agent continues in Spanish: Confirms the caller's details and offers the available times returned by the connected scheduling tool.

Caller switches to English: “Could you send the confirmation to my work email?”

Agent switches to English: Repeats the email address back and confirms where the notice will be sent.

Caller switches back to Spanish: Asks one final question about arrival time.

Agent returns to Spanish: Answers from the approved instructions and repeats the confirmed appointment.

The caller stays on one line with one agent throughout the exchange.
