Goodcall pricing (2026): per-agent plans, what counts as a unique customer, and a worked example
Goodcall does not price its AI phone agent by the minute. It sells a monthly subscription per agent, metered by the number of distinct callers the agent talks to in a month. This guide walks through the published tiers on the Goodcall pricing page (accessed 2026-09-08) and computes what a real workload costs under two caller mixes.
How Goodcall's pricing model works
Goodcall publishes three self-serve tiers plus Enterprise, each priced "monthly per agent" (Goodcall pricing, accessed 2026-09-08):
- Starter: $79 monthly per agent. Includes "100 unique customers monthly," then "$0.50/customer after 100."
- Growth: $129 monthly per agent. Includes "250 unique customers monthly," then "$0.50/customer after 250."
- Scale: $249 monthly per agent. Includes "500 unique customers monthly," then "$0.50/customer after 500."
- Enterprise: custom. Adds a dedicated account manager, custom API integrations, SLA and priority support.
Annual billing is labeled "15% OFF" and displays $66, $108, and $208 per agent per month. These tiers took effect on December 1, 2025; Goodcall's help center describes Starter as "$79/month after migration" and confirms the "additional 15%" annual saving (Goodcall plan and pricing update, accessed 2026-09-08).
The pricing page defines the meter: "A 'unique customer' means any caller with a unique phone number that calls and interacts (i.e actually says something to agent and does not quickly hang up) with your Goodcall agent in any given month." Robo calls, blocked numbers, and "callers who never say anything to your agent will never count towards your allowance." Goodcall does "NOT charge any fees for number of calls," call minutes, or tokens, and every self-serve tier lists minutes and tokens as unlimited (Goodcall pricing, accessed 2026-09-08). A caller who phones ten times counts once, and a ten-minute call costs the same as a one-minute call.

A structural point in Goodcall's favor: there are no speech, model, or per-minute line items. The subscription plus the per-customer overage is the whole published price, and a phone number comes with the agent.
Worked example: 10,000 minutes a month
Goodcall does not meter minutes, so a minute count alone cannot produce a Goodcall bill. Take the workload used across these guides, 2,000 calls × 5 connected minutes = 10,000 minutes per month, on one agent, and add the missing input: how many distinct phone numbers those calls came from. All arithmetic is illustrative, from displayed monthly prices.
Repeat-caller business, 400 unique customers (a clinic or service firm whose clients call back):
Starter: $79 + (400 − 100) × $0.50 = $79 + $150 = $229/month
Growth: $129 + (400 − 250) × $0.50 = $129 + $75 = $204/month
Scale: $249, since 400 is within the 500 allowance = $249/month
New-caller business, 1,500 unique customers (a restaurant or lead line where most callers are new):
Starter: $79 + (1,500 − 100) × $0.50 = $79 + $700 = $779/month
Growth: $129 + (1,500 − 250) × $0.50 = $129 + $625 = $754/month
Scale: $249 + (1,500 − 500) × $0.50 = $249 + $500 = $749/month
The 10,000 minutes never appear in the arithmetic. Double the talk time with the same callers and every total stays the same.
The tier crossovers follow from the same formulas. Above 200 unique customers a month, Growth beats Starter ($79 + 100 × $0.50 = $129). Above 490, Scale beats Growth ($129 + 240 × $0.50 = $249). Past 500 the tiers sit within a few dollars of each other, because every tier's marginal customer costs $0.50.
Gotcha checklist
- Count callers, not minutes. Pull a month of call logs and count unique caller IDs before choosing a tier. Silent callers, robo calls, and blocked numbers are excluded (Goodcall pricing, accessed 2026-09-08).
- Every agent is a separate subscription. Prices are "monthly per agent," and Goodcall's answer to multi-location businesses is one agent per location. Two locations on Growth is $258/month before overage. The page does not say whether allowances pool across agents; ask.
- The $0.50 overage does not step down. It is identical on all three tiers, so a high-volume, new-caller business pays about $0.50 per caller whichever plan it picks. Model your worst month.
- The $41 figure on another Goodcall page is stale. Goodcall's local-phone-number page still says plans "start at only $41 per agent per month billed annually" (Goodcall local phone numbers, accessed 2026-09-08). The pricing page shows $66. Use the pricing page.
- Entry tiers gate history and workflow depth. Starter keeps call history for 7 days with one logic flow; Growth keeps 30 days with three; only Scale has unlimited retention (Goodcall pricing, accessed 2026-09-08).
- Number constraints. The help center says "we do not support porting your number into Goodcall," that "toll-free numbers are not supported," and that Goodcall "is currently available in the USA"; the keep-your-number path is conditional forwarding. It also warns that "if you receive fewer than 1 call in a 60 day period, your account will be deactivated and your phone number will be released" (porting, toll-free, countries, 60-day policy, accessed 2026-09-08).
How ThunderPhone prices differ
ThunderPhone publishes one all-in per-minute engine rate, with speech recognition, language model, and voice included, pay as you go with no subscription, seat fee, or per-agent charge: Spark 2¢/minute, Bolt 5¢/minute, Storm 9¢/minute (unpacked in ThunderPhone pricing explained). The same 10,000-minute month computes directly, whatever the caller count: $200, $500, or $900 per month by engine (illustrative arithmetic; premium voice or language paths add 3¢/minute, hold bills a flat 2¢/minute, and telephony depends on setup). Extra agents or locations add nothing; only minutes bill.
The honest flip side: Goodcall's meter rewards long calls from repeat customers. In the 400-caller example, Goodcall Growth at $204 sits beside ThunderPhone Spark at $200, and if those callers talk for 20,000 minutes instead of 10,000, Goodcall stays at $204 while ThunderPhone doubles. Goodcall is also the simpler buy for a single-location business that wants a number and a flat monthly figure. ThunderPhone pulls ahead when callers are mostly new, calls are short, or you need several agents. ThunderPhone is GDPR and HIPAA compliant, and its published pricing lists no compliance add-on fee; customers remain responsible for configuring their workflows, data handling, recordings, and notices for their own obligations.

The pricing page shows no free trial. The help center describes a free Demo plan for one user that "does not come with an agent number," so it is a way to explore the builder, not to take live calls. Can I try the demo free?, accessed 2026-09-08.
Sources and freshness
All Goodcall claims on this page were checked against the linked first-party pages on September 8, 2026; ThunderPhone pricing reflects its published pricing as of September 1, 2026. This guide is documentation-based; no Goodcall account, invoice, or live call was tested. Two points deserve care: Goodcall's local-phone-number page still advertises a $41 annual starting price the pricing page no longer shows, and the pricing page does not say whether unique-customer allowances pool across agents. Confirm both against Goodcall's live pages before relying on them.
